Fox News changing its course? [Erin Sheffer]

Roger Ailes, Fox News CEO, has recently unleashed a number of criticisms and alarming announcements regarding the notoriously bias news program. In an interview conducted Monday, September  26th, Ailes assured Howard Kurtz of Newsweek that Fox News was making a ‘course correction’, and veering from the hard right political point of view.

Ailes went further and attacked Glenn Beck, demanding he “cool his controversial rhetoric” and admitted that he didnt’ mind if people mistakenly thought Glenn Beck had been fired from the channel. Ailes continued with a rant on Sarah Palin.

The Newsweek story released Ailes’ “unvarnished opinions about his network and his employees”, leading to drama and uncertainty amongst the Fox News family. While momentarily blindsided, no major changes have been made to the staff.
