Pringles company sold to Diamond Foods

According to the New York Times, Procter & Gamble just sold their last brand to Diamond Foods, Inc. for $2.35 billion. They once owned Jif peanut butter, Folger’s coffee and Crisco shortening and now own nothing.

According to Jackson Sun, P&G told its Jackson employees the plant is not shutting down and they will be offered jobs by Diamond. Diamond representative Richard Simonelli said “We are buying the Pringles business because we think it’s a terrific brand, and we look forward to working with the talented Pringles employees who have built the brand over time.”
